How long is the licensing agreement for?

We offer flexible terms, and require a 3 month minimum commitment. Contact our office if the dates you need are not available on the application.

What is included in the price?

Rates include all utilities: internet, electric, gas, water, trash and sewer.

Can I live at RTV if I have children/partner?

Yes! We welcome families to live with us in our apartments in building 1. Building 2 and 3 are rent by the bed and only allow 1 person occupancy per bed.

Does River Trail Village require a guarantor?

We do require a guarantor for students who do not meet the rental criteria on their own. No Guarantor? No Problem! We also offer the Homebody Guarantee program for students in 9 units for an additional monthly fee. More information can be found on the application (only available for Student Housing options).

What food options are available for residents?

The apartments have full kitchens in each unit and the residence hall has multiple kitchens throughout the building. We have also made food accessible through partnerships with NVC Basic Needs and the Dinner Delivery program. Call us for details.

Is RTV pet friendly?

River View Apartments (rent by the unit) allows pets! There is a $300 pet deposit ($150 non-refundable, $150 refundable) with $10/mo pet rent. Complete your pet profile at PetScreening.com. If your pet is ESA or Service Animal, please contact the DSPS office on campus at NVC to have them approved.

What does the Residence Life Program at River Trail Village look like?

NVC students identified 3 core values for River Trail Village: Student Success, Health and Wellness, and Respect for Others. River Trail Village offers students the opportunity to live in an environment that supports their success and meets their specific needs as a college student. Whether it is an event to Meet the Deans, a FAFSA workshop, or a destressor hosted by your Resident Assistant, the events happen right in your home - so no need to worry about heading back to campus after you are finished with classes! River Trail Village staff are also available to help connect you to academic office, NVC Basic Needs resources, and navigate communal living.

Will Financial Aid cover the cost of rent?

Scholarships and Financial Aid can be used to help cover housing costs. What if I don't have a guarantor?

No Guarantor? No Problem, River Trail Village offers Leap as an option! Leap is a quick and easy process that fills in for a guarantor or parent co-signer. Our Student Housing floor plans offers the Homebody Guarantee Program for an additional monthly fee (student must be in 9 units). Building 1 (unfurnished apartments) offer a Rent Guaranty option that can be applied for on LeapEasy.com. Contact the office for more information.

How do I pay my rent?

Rental installments are due on the 1st of each month, and become late on the 4th. We accept payment via check, money order, or through our online system via the Resident Portal. We also partner with flex. to offer you flexible payment options. To see if you qualify, you can visit getflex.com.

Who can live at River Trail Village?

As of Spring 2026, we are currently only accepting Napa Valley College students, faculty, and staff. To gain student status, you must be enrolled in at least 1-credit per semester at Napa Valley College. If you are a not affiliated with NVC, please contact the office to see if there are any options available for non-student housing.

How do I get up to 2 months off?
